The centre's new leisure pool, lap pool and hot tub was packed on Thursday when the doors to the new facility opened at 3 p.m. No ribbon cutting ceremony yet, as construction work is still going on for the centre's foyer and front entrance.

The long-awaited Terrace and District Aquatic Centre is all set to open tomorrow. The City of Terrace made the announcement Nov. 17. The centre's interim operating hours will be Monday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Saturdays to Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
